Smallcombe sits in the valley and has no direct access for vehicles. You can park on streets nearby and walk to the site following the footpaths shown, or follow the walk via one of the Bath Skyline Paths.
From Bathwick Hill
Use the postcode BA2 6LA. Parking on the road just below the Youth Hostel and following the bridle footpath down the hill into the fields.
From Horseshoe Walk
Follow the private driveway by foot only. It leads to the main double gate of the cemetery at the very end of this driveway. Proceed through the main gate, and to the right, you will find the Smallcombe Information Board. Alternatively, enter the cemetery via the other small side gate to the right just before you reach the main gate.
Note: the waste bin is also just by this side gate.
Facilities on-site
Please be aware that the cemetery is, by its very purpose, a remote location. As part of the preservation of its history, the aim is for there to be as little modern influence as possible. Therefore, facilities on site are limited. Please also bear in ind that the paths can be slippery in wet conditions and monuments may be unstable, and curbstones are potential trip hazards. Mindful that this is still a cemetery regularly visited by relatives of the deceased, dogs should be kept under control.
