Cake and Rake - August 2014

So would people turn up to Cake and Rake?

This involved a partnership in landscape management, whereby the Council strimmed the grass, the National Trust lent us some equipment, and a local landscape business provided direction on the day. However, we needed volunteers to turn up and rake up the mowings to promote a habitat for wildflowers. In the event, dozens of people of all ages lent a hand, fuelled only by cake - well a Thai barbeque actually. Target achieved.

a little money - a lot  of help - a huge community achievement
